What support is given to a franchisee?
The Twist Conditioning Franchise Support Team is in place to provide you with the tools and support needed to have your Twist Sport Conditioning Centre become the dominant brand in your community. The support starts before the doors open, providing a development team to design the physical facility. At the same time we train management, staff and coaches to deliver Twist Sport Conditioning programs and products to athletes and customers. Once the facility is opened we continue with on-site visits and consultation to ensure Twist Sport Conditioning Centre systems and specifications are in place. Twist Conditioning provides on-going support in marketing, curriculum development, human resources, business management and strategic planning. |
What kind of building is suitable? Square footage?
The ideal location is an easily accessible warehouse style building with high ceiling clearance. Appropriate square footage is 4500 – 8000 sq. ft. Retail frontage is not mandatory, however is highly recommended. The Twist Support team will aid you in assessing possible real estate opportunities and review your lease prior to location approval. Questions regarding the placement of a Twist Sport Conditioning Centre™ inside an existing complex or facility can be answered by the Twist Development Team during the interview process. |
Do I need previous fitness training experience?
As a franchise owner - no, however any experience you may have gained previously in the fitness industry will help. More than anything, we are looking for exceptional people with sound business sense who embrace our vision and high standards of service excellence. Where the owner does not have fitness or sport industry experience we provide additional training and hire key individuals for management that have the fitness background and human kinetics education. We have a pool of experienced trainers who have been a part of our Twist Sport Conditioning Coach certification program and conference workshops who you can potentially draw from. |
Will Twist Conditioning provide training for me and my people and at what cost?
Our training for you and your staff is thorough and complete. New partners and new managers will have initial management training at our corporate offices in North Vancouver and at your location. We then send a “hands on” support opening team to train your initial coaches and staff. Except for travel, accommodation and meals, the cost of training you and your management team is ours. You will open your sport conditioning center confident and knowledgeable on Twist Conditioning programs and processes, backed by a system and people who will help you. |
What type of standards does Twist Conditioning set?
Twist Conditioning has set high standards, specifications and procedures regarding interior design, layout, training paradigm, coaching continuity, location, health and safety, product suppliers, product specifications and advertising. All of these standards are intended to create a consistent experience and level of service to Twist Sport Conditioning Centre clients and customers, no matter which location is visited. It is through this uniformity that the brand is created and reinforced. This protects and builds upon each strategic franchise partner’s investment in the brand. |
How long does it take to be approved and build a training facility?
The application process from initial inquiry to the approval from the Leadership Team will take from four to eight weeks. Once your application and location has received approval from the Leadership Team the time frame to opening day will vary from five to nine months. A detailed schedule shall be created that fits with the needs and circumstances of your specific location and training needs. |
