Twist Conditioning Inc. is spearheaded by Peter Twist, exercise physiologist and 11 year NHL Conditioning Coach, and staffed with an array of sport conditioning specialists. Twist has a branded reputation anchored in elite athlete training, high quality coaching, research and exercise creation, packaging of teaching sequences and corrective cues, and crafting of a positive learning environment and corporate culture that encourages best efforts and enjoyment of the experience.

The Twist Conditioning Team has successfully optimized the sport performance of over 700 professional athletes including Trevor Linden, Peter Schaefer, Kris Beech, Justin Morneau and Markus Naslund. Today the team of Twist Sport Conditioning Specialists coach professional, national, provincial, NCAA, high school, amateur athletes, and adult athletes from a mix of over 30 different sports. Today, all athletes in all sports turn to sport conditioning for a competitive edge.

The Twist Athlete Conditioning Centre center hosts professional and amateur level teams and athletes from many sports including, hockey, soccer, tennis, golf, baseball, basketball, softball, football, lacrosse, rugby, and many more The Twist Athlete Conditioning Centre also offers adult functional training programs and private training service for adult athletes and recreationalists. Twist Conditioning is currently accepting applications from qualified individuals for a full-time Director of Sport Conditioning.

General Qualifications:

  • Education: Completed a degree or diploma in the field of Sports Sciences, has taken a minimum of 2 years of University level Sports Sciences. Business Administration courses are an asset.
  • Athletic background: Competed at an elite level or intermediate level of sports
  • Certification: TSCC certifications are an asset, CSCS (must qualify for or hold)
  • Experience: Management, customer service, sales, marketing, and administration,
  • Personal skill set: Strong communication skills, work effectively in a team situation and also independantly, ability to teach, organized, ability to multi-task and prioritize, fun and positve attitude, out-going and high energy

Job Description

  • Management: hiring and orienting coaches, service quality control, overseeing all staff and gernaral facility management
  • Front Desk Operations: Athlete check-in, training services and product sales, SCC operations software
  • Customer Service: Walk-in customers, follow ups, check ups including but not limited to phone, e-mail and direct mail
  • Administrative Duties: Registration and intake of athletes, compiling and organizing athlete and group files and rosters, daily financial report, weekly statsitcs report
  • Communication: Training services and products to general customers, athletes, coaches, parents, and agents
  • Sales and Marketing: Networking, campaigns, community events, direct mail, e-mail, database sourcing and compilation, personal selling, and more
  • Organization: Filing system, templates, e-mail, mailing, and faxing athletes and prospects
  • Scheduling: New private one-on-one, small group, additional services
  • Facility Maintenance and Care: Equipment safety checks and reporting, office equipment maintenance, inventory, general cleaning
  • Products: Shipping, receiving, inventory

Compensation and incentives are commensurate with experience
